Former seigniorial castle rebuilt in the 17th century, in June 1944 it housed the headquarters of the 2nd US Infantry Division. General Eisenhower and Omar Bradley, who came to encourage the American soldiers, will sleep there.
Today the castle belongs to the Sander family, heiress of the photographer August Sander (1876-1964), German sociologist portrait painter of the early 20th century.
From now on, here, we offer two lodgings and guest rooms with breakfasts in a calm and wild setting. Nature has regained its rights a little, which gives an atmosphere conducive to daydreaming, introspection, harmony with nature and water. The large simple garden opens onto a pond and large century-old trees. From here start small paths towards the fields and the Normandy bocage where we will come across horses symbolizing this region rich in breeding quality horses.
